With NASCAR returning to NBC in 2015, this year beginning the second season as exclusive home to Formula 1 in the U.S., our continued coverage of IndyCar as exclusive cable partner and with the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championships on our air, NBC is the home of motorsports.
NASCAR returns to NBC in 2015 with a landmark 10 year partnership with NBC Sports Group. Our new multi-platform agreement grants NBC Sports exclusive rights to the final 20 Sprint Cup and final 19 Nationwide series races, including the Chase for the Sprint Cup.
With NASCAR'S new Chase Grid format emphasizing winning instead of the previous point's based system, each season promises to build in excitement with each race.
NBC's dedication to motorsports continues with new original programming on NBCSN including NASCAR America and Mecum Auctions, both created to satisfy the race fan's passion.
Formula 1's debut season on NBC Sports finished strong, with 9.8M total viewers reached and +14% YoY growth in 2013. Now in the second of a four year exclusive US media deal, we're continuing momentum with 100+ hours of coverage throughout the season. Races are featured on NBC, NBC Sports Network and CNBC, in addition to both qualifying and practice sessions. This year, league regulation changes and alterations to the car formulas urge bigger and better rivalries between drivers, and make for a more competitive and more even more dramatic season.
All races and surrounding coverage are streamed live on NBC Sports Live Extra.
On NBC Sports Network, we fulfill every car-racing fan's need for speed with coverage of both the IndyCar Series and the Indy Lights Series.
As the continued exclusive cable home for IndyCar through 2018, our 2014 schedule includes 13 races on NBC Sports Network in addition to pre-race qualifiers and coverage of Indy Lights races. Live streaming of qualifying and all race day coverage on NBC Sports Live Extra.
NBC Sports Ventures includes the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, the leading outdoor pro motocross series in the world. With 12 annual races running May - August each year, 78 hours air across NBC, NBC Sports Network and MAVTV.
